The short version
No tracking, no advertising, no analytics
Sulpot uses no analytics tools, no advertising networks, no social media pixels, and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not profile you, and we do not follow you across other websites. That is why you see no cookie consent banner — we do not use the kind of cookies that require one.
1. What Sulpot stores in your browser
| What | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase authentication session | Cookie — strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you would be logged out on every click. | Until you sign out or it expires |
| Theme preference | Local storage — functional | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Until you clear your browser data |
That is the complete list. Under the Data Privacy Act and standard cookie practice, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent, because the service you asked for cannot work without them.
2. Third-party connections
Some pages load resources from other providers. These do not set tracking cookies for Sulpot, but like any internet request they reveal your IP address to that provider, and each has its own privacy policy.
| Provider | When it is contacted | What it can see |
|---|---|---|
| CARTO | When a map is displayed | Your IP address and the map area you are viewing |
| OpenStreetMap | When you search for an address while creating an event | Your IP address and the address text you type |
| Only if you choose “Continue with Google” | Your sign-in request. Google may set its own cookies under its own policy. | |
| Supabase / Vercel | On every page | Technical request data including your IP address |
3. Controlling this
- Theme preference — clear your browser's site data for Sulpot.
- Sign-in cookie — sign out, or clear site data. Note that blocking it entirely will prevent you from signing in at all.
- Location — Sulpot only requests your location when you press a locate button, and your browser asks first. Decline, or revoke it in your browser's site settings, and everything else keeps working.
- Everything — most browsers let you block or delete cookies per site in their privacy settings.
4. If this changes
If Sulpot ever adds analytics or any non-essential tracking, we will update this notice, add a proper consent banner, and ask for your consent before any such tracking begins. Questions: christianvirgiltorres@gmail.com.
